He was predeceased by: his parent Finley Lucas; his wife Janie Lucas; his daughter Hilda Diane; his daughter-in-law Barbara Luther Lucas; and his brothers, Eber Lucas and Vernon Lucas.

He is survived by: his children, Larry Lucas (Pam), Jerry Lucas and Michael Lucas (Janet); and his grandchildren, Donald Lucas (Sandra), Bruce Lucas (Kim), Kevin Lucas (Jennifer), Seth Lucas (Annette), Jennifer Wallace (Kelly), Brooke Kidd (Jason) and Matthew Lucas. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; and best friend.
