He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Freeland and Nello Snuggs Freeland; and his siblings, Cleveland Terry, Thomas Freeland and Aggre Terry Redwine.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Freeland; his children, Cassandra Andrews (Roland) of Asheboro, NC, John L. Green (Bernadette) of El Paso, TX and William H. Freeland, Jr. (Angel) of Asheboro, NC; his brother Robert Freeland Jr. (Rhonda) of Asheboro, NC; his sister-in-law Helen Spinks (Joe) of Asheboro, NC; his grandchildren, Terrance Greene (Denane), Johne Greene, Michael Greene, Jade Freeland, Addie Freeland and Willton Freeland; his nieces and nephews, Shantina and Toi Letterlough; and his godchildren, Devonje Barnes, Marvin Grier and Tawana Robinson. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
