He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommie Powell and Annie Mae Swaney; and his wife Ruth Luther Powell. He is survived by: his children, Christina Medina (Julio), Kimberly Vergara (Martin), Tammy Pugh (Kevin), Tracy Vaughters and Benjamin Robinson (Steve). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous other beloved family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Destination Heaven (1796 Old County Farm Rd, Sophia, NC 27350).
