She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Cox and Edna York Cox; her son Samuel Harris Poole; and her siblings, Mary Lou Jones, Carol Woodell, Russell Cox and Roy Cox.
She is survived by: her husband Bobby Edgar Poole; her sons, Jonathan Poole (Sharon) of Louisburg and Daniel Poole (Angela Mabe) of Asheboro; and her brother Calvin Cox (Darlene) of Seagrove. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
