She was predeceased by: her father Robert Kivett; her husbands, Lacy Glen Long and William Shelton Davis; her son Noel Wayne Hinshaw; her sisters, Hazel Newsome and Annie Lee Smith; and her niece Hazel Lee Newsome.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Catherine White; her nephews, C. W. Newsome and Junior White; and her friend Jo Anne Higgins.
