With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vellie Hill (Asheboro, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 4, 2018 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Jim Hill of Silver Valley; her husband Elwood Hill; her son Dale Hill; her grandchild Donna Bishop of Dwane Hill; and her siblings, Rosie Garner, Sadie Hughes, Eula Hulin, Josie Perdue, Pauline Hoover, Texie Black, Walter Hill, Jack Hill and Billy Hill.
She is survived by: her parent Allie Grubb Hill of Silver Valley; her children, Darrell Hill (Carole) of Mocksville, Jerry Hill (Elaine) of Thomasville and Texie Hill Criscoe of Archdale; her sister Bertha Hoover of Asheboro; and her grandchildren, Cathy Hunt, Jeffrey Hill, Tammy Davis, Tina Swain and Scott Klass. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
