She was predeceased by: her siblings, Richard "Dick" Simmons and Patricia Simmons Kinlaw Millard. She is survived by: her sister Joyce Simmons Singletary (Worth); her children, Angela Herring Washington (Robert Evans) and Jonathan Hardin (Amanda); her grandchildren, Keisha, London and Mitchell; and her great grandchildren, Zayda and Zamauri.
