He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Lee Spencer and Martha Howell Richardson. He is survived by: his partner Bobby Frye Jr.; his siblings, Tammy M Suits Fortin of Asheboro and Terry McDowell of Asheboro; his nephews, Christopher Suits of Asheboro and Corey Suits of Asheboro; and his niece Tara McDowell Tiller of Randleman. He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Randolph County Animal Shelter, 1370 County Land Rd, Randleman, NC 27317.
