He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. "Dan" Burns and Marjorie B. Burns. He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his stepdaughter Penny Thames; and his children, Emil Burns and Trenna Burns.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Methodist Church (900 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Asheboro City Cemetery (160 W Salisbury St, Asheboro, NC 27203).
