She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Willard and Leora Brooks Matthews; and her siblings, Helen Matthews, Desiree Matthews-Brown, Eula Mae Matthews-McClain, Linda Matthews-Graves, Ocie Matthews-Brown, Delsie Matthews-Hilton, James Wesley Matthews and Otha Willard Matthews.
She is survived by: her husband Walter Guin, Sr.; her sister Annie Ruth Matthews; her nephew Bobby Lee McClain; and her close friend Ernestine Coble. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
A private, (due to COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS) funeral will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 1 pm.
