She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Johnson and Ruby Johnson; her husband Brian Shivas; and her sister Sonya Sherman. She is survived by: her sisters, Becky Boles of Asheboro, NC and Elizabeth Kroll of Tennessee. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Seagrove Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (963 Burney Rd, Asheboro, NC 27205).
