He was predeceased by: his parents, James B. Strider and Marizelle Henson Strider; and his pet Whitney. He is survived by: his friend Butch; his daughter Brigette Welton (Paul); his siblings, Barbara Gallimore of Asheboro and Gary Strider (Barbara) of Asheboro; his grandsons, Nicholas Welton and Benjamin Welton; and his nephew Shaun Gallimore.
