He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Rayna Novash. He is survived by: his children, Tabbatha Patterson, Nina Albright (Mark), Barbara Adams, Alison Welch, Catherine Welch, Daniel Welch and Benjamin Welch (Rebecca); his parents, Aleta Welch and William "Bill" Welch; his sister Conice Welch; his grandchildren, Cody Carrow, Brody Adams, Chloe Adams, Corbin Adams, Austin Albright, Ashlin Albright, Makenna Patterson and Saylor Moody; and his great grandchild Sienna Carrow.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sunset Avenue Church of God (900 Sunset Ave, Asheboro, NC 27203).
