He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt "June" Davis and Jennie McRae Davis; his wife Brenda Davis; his children, Ernice Steward, Lisa Steward, Tracey Davis and Andre Davis; his stepdaughter Aloma Brooks; and his siblings, Wyatt Davis, Jr., Julius Davis, Richard Meyers, Helen Daniels and Cara Belle.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robert Leroy Davis, Jr., Rhoda Davis, Renee Collier, Brenda Davis and Robyn Drakeford-Adams (Jonathan); his stepchildren, Tonynitia Darling, Yolanda Ali, Calvin Brooks and Nikki Brooks; his siblings, Clara Lou Johnson of Asheboro, NC, Faye Davis-Cash (Earl) of Asheboro, NC, Sheila Dailey (Jeff) of Asheboro, NC, James McNeil and David Butler; and his sister-in-law Grace Meyers. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
