He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Baum and Amanda Zelma King Baum. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Bryant Baum of Baum's Blooms Green House; his daughters, Breanna Macon (Alan) of Asheboro and Amanda Brady (Adam) of Bennett; his grandchildren, Maddie Miller, Cayden, Camden Brady, Addison and Kaitlyn Macon; his sister Brenda Thiel of Lexington; his niece Amanda Thiel (Niger); and his nephews, Dre Thiel (Jennifer) and Thomas Thiel.
