She was predeceased by: her father Banner Shelton; her husband Mark "Bam Bam" McConnell; and her sister-in-law Valerie Shelton. She is survived by: her mother Sylvia Hogan Shelton; her son William James Shelton of Wilkes County; and her siblings, Geri Cook (Ted) of Asheboro, Kelli Cox (Ed) of Taylorsville, Traci Sampson (Jay) of Garner, NC and Banner Reid Shelton II of Coleridge, NC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
