He was predeceased by: his father Richard E. May, Sr.; and his brothers, Vernon May and Shane Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Patricia K. May; his daughters, Destiny Scott (Kyle) of Graham and Alesa MacGillivary (Nick) of Canada; his stepson Landon Hunt (Cheyenne) of Asheboro; his mother Nancy Byrd (Pete "Pops); his siblings, Hank Byrd (Kelly) of Burlington and Tina Armenta (Jose) of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Kaisley, Kyle Jr., Jaxon and Holland.
