He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hunter; his daughter Cathy Johnson (Alan) of High Point; his daughter-in-law Ruby Hunter of Asheboro; his sister Anne Tarlton of Henderonsville, NC; and his grandchildren, Rhett Johnson of Charleston, WV, Tyler Hunter (Rachel) of Charlotte, Anne Johnson O'Hare (Jack) of Port Townsend, WA, Glen Johnson of Falls Church, VA and Miranda Hunter of Raleigh.
