She was predeceased by: her parents, Haywood Purvis and Susan Phillips Purvis; her husband Bobby Joyce; her siblings, Donald Purvis, Robert "Butch" Garren, Jr., Margaret Angeline Calvacante, Agnes Marie Purvis Thompson, Betty Sue Purvis Garren and Grover Haywood Purvis; and her daughter-in-law Connie Presnell Joyce.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Joyce of Ramseur, Tony Joyce (Kimberly) of Asheboro and Thomas Joyce (Crystal) of Asheboro; her grandchildren, Amy Yeager (Cory), Andrew Joyce (April), Alice Renee Parsons (Dustin), Emma Johnson (Lee), Brett Joyce (Janelle), Emily Hill (Arron), Alex Joyce, Eric Joyce, Ashley Joyce, Alexis Pugh (Ben), Sarah Bennett (Tony) and Chloe Wirt; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Sadie, Lily, Abigail, Audree, Alice, Eric, Cayden, Rylan, MyKenzee, Lilly, Violet and Jayce.
