She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy L. Harris and Helen Strider Harris; her husband Jerry Lee Cox; her brother Eddie Harris; and her granddaughters, Amber Cox and Jessica Austin-Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia "Cindy" Finley, Charlotte Cox, Scarlett Boling (Don) of Asheboro, Jeff Cox of Kentucky and Chris Cox (Debbie) of Asheboro; her brother Terry Harris (Cindy) of Clayton; and her son Carson Bowman of Asheboro. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
