It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Auman (Asheboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 19, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Irl Thompson and Fronie Fesperman Thompson; her husband George Colon Auman; her sisters, Lillian Gordon, Selma Kivett and Hazel Thompson; and her son-in-law Donald "Don" Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Auman Smith of Burlington; her brother J. I. Thompson (Alice) of Rockwell; and her granddaughters, Madison Smith Crumley (Gabriel) and Magen Leigh Messmer (George).
