With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ola Matlock Smith (Asheboro, North Carolina), born in Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on April 25, 2018 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Albert Smith; her son Frederick Howell Smith; and her siblings, Gordon Matlock, Edith Hill, Ila Sue Matlock and Una Griffin.
She is survived by: her children, David Howell Smith (Lorraine) of Asheboro and Martha Susan Smith Ragsdale of Asheboro; and her sister Anne Schenck of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 224 North Fayetteville Street, Asheboro, NC 27203.
