He was predeceased by: his daughter Lu Ann Fields; and his nephew Phil Fields. He is survived by: his parents, Wilbur Henry Fields Sr. and Ailene Foster Fields; his wife Jeanette Thomas Fields; his children, Judy Smith (Russ) of Asheboro, Marti Lakey (Jon) of Salisbury and Nicky Fields (Kim) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Spencer Lakey (Jenna), Samuel Lakey (Kayla), Sarah Jane Lakey, Carson Fields, Claire Fields and Jared Smith; his great grandchildren, Judah Lakey and Asher Lakey; and his siblings, Patsy McAllister (Warren) of Washington, Phillip Fields (Genease Fields) of Sanford and Jerry Fields of Carthage.
