With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nellie Gatlin Freeman of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thomas Gatlin and Emma Rosa Deaton Gatlin; her husband Wesley Freeman; her daughter-in-law Gay Freeman; her great grandchild Garrett Wesley Freeman; and her siblings, Clara Brewer, Pauline Bowman, Ralph Gatlin, Franklin Gatlin, Lester Gatlin, Lonnie Gatlin and Ernest Gatlin.
She is survived by: her children, Frances Freeman Johnson (Doug), Lonnie Wesley Freeman and Thomas Neill Freeman (Vicki); her brother Charles Gatlin; her grandchildren, Aaron Freeman (Stephanie), Travis Freeman, Justin Freeman, Kenzie Freeman, Hannah Freeman and Anna Freeman; and her great grandchildren, Renee Freeman, Thomas Freeman, Michael Freeman, Andrew Freeman, Hayden Freeman, Wesley Freeman, Jessie Lee Freeman and Irissa Freeman.
