He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Dunn and Wilma Russell Dunn; and his sister Ruby Rumley. He is survived by: his wife Frances H. Dunn; his children, Debbie D. Hughes of Asheboro and Neal R. Dunn, Jr. of Asheboro; his sisters, Betty Pugh (Richard) of Asheboro and Sue D. Spencer (Larry) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Cameron Dunn and Andrew Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Hughes and Axton Hughes.
