She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Wallace and Ola Chappell Wallace; her husband Ray Hunter; her son Mike Hunter; her granddaughter Miranda Hunter; and her brother Jerry Wallace.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Johnson (Alan) of High Point; her daughter-in-law Ruby Hunter of Asheboro; her brother James "Jim" Wallace (Linda) of Boston, MA; her grandchildren, Rhett Johnson (Sarah) of Asheville, NC, Tyler Hunter (Rachel) of Charlotte, Anne Johnson O'Hare (Jack) of Frankfurt and Glen Johnson (Kelsey); and her great grandchildren, Eden Hunter, Levi Hunter and Cole Vernon.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Chappell Family Cemetery.
