She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Wilkerson and Lorena Jordan Wilkerson; her children, Kathy Ann Carter, J. H. Carter and Mark Glenn Carter; her brothers, Robert Wilkerson and Bill Wilkerson; and her granddaughter Alisha Carter.
She is survived by: her husband Jackie Carter; her daughters, Darlene Mitchell (Todd DeForest) of Asheboro, Linda Sparks (Jerry) of Sophia and Sharon Hill of Sophia; her grandchildren, Ciara Massingale (Daniel), Heather Smith (Edward), Zachary Varner (Kaitlyn), Matthew Varner, Josh Carter, Christian Carter, Jay Hill, Daniel Hill and Jimmy Lee Hill; and her great grandchildren, Luna Massingale and Holden Smith. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
