He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bill and Bonnie Lee Smith; his sister Angela Looney; and his sister-in-law Joann Smith. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dale Dickerson Smith; his son Michael Lee Smith, Jr. (Kelly) of Junction City, KS; his brother Jerry Smith of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Michael Lee Smith, III, Arica, Logan Smith, Aaron Gluck, Joshua Gluck (Elizabeth), Erica Gasca (Luis), Megan Gluck, Nicholas Gluck, Jesse and Lori Butler.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Loflin Funeral Home (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel (147 Coleridge Rd, Ramseur, NC 27316).
