He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cheek and Macy Marley Cheek; his wife Hilda Cheek; his children, Alicea Cheek Barnwell and Doug Cheek; and his siblings, Louise Allred, Mary Catherine Craven, James Wade Cheek, Donald Cheek and Jesse Cheek.
He is survived by: his brother Max R. Cheek; his daughter-in-law Sharon Cheek; his grandchildren, Tiffiany Hulin, Megan Cheek, Chris Walker (Virginia) and Scott Walker (Alexis); his great grandchildren, Cody Walker, Kaitlyn Walker, Caleb Walker and Camden Walker; and his niece Renate Auman.
