He was predeceased by: his mother Julie Ann Scott; his son Markas Gage Saunders; and his grandparents, Lyle, Lala Scott and Kathleen Saunders.
He is survived by: his father Joseph Leroy Saunders, Sr.; his daughter Jaylan Williamson (Kory); his granddaughter Dililah Williamson; and his siblings, Lisa Maxey (Johnny) of Asheboro, Joe Saunders (Angie) of Randleman, Jimmy Saunders (Sherri) of Sophia, Timmy Saunders (Teresa) of Sophia and William Saunders of Greensboro. He is also survived by 7 nieces, 3 nephews, several great nieces and nephews and many cousins, aunts and uncles.
