She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Bame and Addie Whitaker Bame; her husband Clarence E. Matthews; her son Marvin Odell Tucker, Jr.; her son-in-law William Clark; and her siblings, Virgie Bame Voncannon, C. L. Bame, Fred Bame and Robert Bame.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Tucker Rook of Archdale; her grandson Richard Adam Pegram (Anna); her stepgrandchildren, Audra Rook Coleman and Joseph Clark Rook (Tamara); her great grandchildren, Ashley Pegram and Austin Pegram; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jacob Rook, Matthew Wagner, Paige Coleman and Ryan Coleman; her great great grandchild Ryleigh; her sister Mattie Lee Mason (Tom) of Christiansburg, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Shelby Matthews and Terry Fowler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
