She was predeceased by: her son Lloyd Allen Watkins; and her brothers, J. O. Smith and Bobby Smith. She is survived by: her parents, Fred Lee and Dora Ann Grubbs Smith; her brother Tommy Smith (Phyllis) of Asheboro; and her sister-in-law Darlene Smith of Asheboro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
