She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. James Avery Brown and Dora Lee Hayes Brown; her husband James "J. D." Yarborough, Sr.; and her siblings, Jean Hall and Harold "Whitey" Brown.
She is survived by: her sons, J. Donald "Don" Yarborough, Jr. (Tammy) of Asheboro and Anthony Mark Yarborough of Randleman; her sisters, Ometa Brown Kenan (Bill) and Shirley Brown Owen; and her grandchildren, Jason, Jamie and Jeremiah Yarborough.
