He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Maness and Glenna Caviness Maness; his siblings, Montie Mae Russell (Herman) and Bill Maness (Arlene); his parents-in-law, Dewey and Bonnie Matthews; and his sister-in-law Ruth Taylor (Jim).
He is survived by: his pet Benji; his wife Clara Lee Matthews Maness; his children, Tonya Maness of Asheboro and Ralph Maness (Cindy) of Asheboro; his granddaughter Brooke Powell (Matt) of Nathalie, VA; his great grandchild Carrington Powell; and his brother-in-law Harold Matthews (Marion) of Whispering Pines. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
