He is survived by: his son Harold Patterson of Asheboro, NC; his stepson Aaron Light (Lacy) of Durham, NC; his grandchildren, Dakota Patterson and Savannah Patterson; his brother James "Tom" Patterson, Jr.; his wife Martha of Stoneville; his niece Dawn Patterson Cockrell (Andy) of Kenly, NC; and also, Valerie Stewart and Alayna Cockrell.
