He is survived by: his wife Betsy Briles Edwards; his daughters, Beverly Edwards Blalock (Chris) of Asheboro and Kristen Dawn Edwards (Chris) of Asheboro; his sister Shelby Smithwick of Poquoson, VA; and his grandchildren, Christopher Blalock, Kayla Ann McGuine, Kaylee Elizabeth Fultz and Carter Matthew Fultz.
