It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Delbert Voncannon Jr. of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Delbert Voncannon and Frances Lambe Voncannon; his siblings, Samuel David Voncannon, Benny Voncannon and Julia Alese Voncannon; and his niece April Lucas.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Voncannon; and his nieces and nephews, Benny D. Voncannon Jr. (Karen), Edward "Eddie" Voncannon (Renee), Brian Lucas, James Marshall, Tammy Hill, Donna Louldry, Joe Lee Marshall, Ricky Seabolt, Tonya Todd, Kenny Seabolt, Brenda Grasjo, Bobby Lucas, Darren Lucas, Priscilla Scales, Allie Collinson, Bonnie Bumgarner, Tina Loflin, Donna Jordan, James Dale Lucas, Kelia Lucas and Seretha Yow.

“So sorry to hear of Johnny’s passing. He and I were childhood friends until he went into the Marines and I went into the Navy. We lived within walking distance of each other and lots of good memories that I still remember. Rest In Peace my Friend.”
