It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Barwick (Asheboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 7, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Jean Kirkland of Scotland Neck, NC; his son Sam Barwick (Mary Glenn); and his brother Gene Barwick. He is survived by: his children, John (Peggy) and Mary Glenn Benton; his son-in-law Glenn Benton of Chapel Hill, NC; his granddaughter Dr. Mary Hunter Benton; and his brothers, Dr. Allen Joseph Barwick (Jan) of Raleigh, NC and Dr. Jim Barwick of Washington, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
