It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Smith of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Weldon Smith and Crissie Bell Tysinger Smith; and his siblings, Betty Smith and Stevie M. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Linda Carole Chappell Smith; his daughters, Cammy Smith Dunn of Asheboro and Wendy Boggs of Texas; his stepchildren, Robin Trogdon (Russell) of Asheboro, Stacy Cholula of Asheboro and Justin Stegall of Wilmington; and his brother T. Rick Smith (Diane) of Asheboro. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203).
