James Ray Cox Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2020, at the age of 93, James Ray Cox of Asheboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Lee and Leoline Routh Cox; and his siblings, Ruth Lineberry, Blanche Powell, Mary Routh Underwood, John Page Cox, Doris Trogdon Beeson, Percy Cox, Jr., Louvelia Ferguson Morris, Martha Williamson and Charles Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Wright Cox; his daughters, Kaye Swaim (Joe) of Reidsville, Phyllis Rogers (David) of Statesville and Greta Gail McDowell (Doug) of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Heath Swaim, Julie Wagoner, Shelley Rogers, Ashley Jimenez and Carly Zimmerman; his great grandchildren, Mya, Ryder, Kason, Camila, James, Felix and Zoey; his siblings, Rachel Davis, Irene Surratt, Wayne Cox and Margaret Ester; and his sisters-in-law, Eva Wright Beal and Treva Wright Davis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
