James Thomas Barker Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2023, at the age of 84, James Thomas Barker of Asheboro, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Barker and Beulah Slaydon Barker; his stepsister Teresa Perdue; and his brother Johnny Barker. He is survived by: his wife Mary Russell Barker; his sons, Kenneth Barker (Crystal) of Farmer and Terry Barker (Megan) of Asheboro; his stepchildren, Tara O'Rourke of Alabama, Ashley Spooner of Anger and Brian Chriscoe of Asheboro; his siblings, Carolyn Ward (Doug) of Asheboro, Kenneth Barker (Angie) of Burlington and Ores Barker (Joyce) of Lexington; his stepsister Diane Kearns (Walton) of Asheboro; and his grandchildren, Austin Barker, Catherine Barker, Chloe Barker, Caden Barker, Brantley Phipps, Devin and Peyton Barker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
