He is survived by: his parents, Patterson Cooper and Martha Cooper; his wife Mildred Barfield Cooper; his daughters, Ellen C. McMasters of Staley, Crystal C. Weatherly of Liberty and Beth C. McDaniel; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Wright of Asheboro, Cynthia McPherson and Allen Weatherly of Troy. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.
