He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, S. H. Morris and Gertha Langley Morris; his wife Ellen Freeman Morris; his children, Howard Kelly Morris (Tina) and Kimberly Vann Loflin (Bill); his grandchildren, William, Steven, Cody, Dakota, Dalton and Brittnee Vann El Hinkle (Doyle); his great grandchildren, Vanna and Vaeda; and his siblings, James, Wade, Herbert, Ruby, O'Dell, John, Bertha and Doris. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, his wish would have been for the money to be used to help others in need or donate to the charity of their choice.
