He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Herman Mack Gallimore; and his sons, H. R. Gallimore, Jr. (Vickie) of Asheboro, Dan Gallimore of Winston-Salem and Ken Gallimore (Bridget) of Asheboro. He was also cherished by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harlan's memory to the Parks Cross Roads Church Cemetery Fund, 1995 Parks Cross Roads, Ramseur, NC, 27316.
