She was predeceased by: her parents, Stewart Shaffer and Gertrude Hollmeyer Shaffer; her daughter Sherry O'Brien; and her siblings, Phyllis Welter, Jim Shaffer and Doug Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Dave Sawicki; her children, Karen Birkhoffer (Bill), Wendy Mull (Danny) and Scott Sawicki (Gwynne); her son-in-law Ray O'Brien; and her grandchildren, Matt (Heather), Erin, Kerry, Jack, Faith, Grace, Ben, Katie, Ellie and May.
