She was predeceased by: her husband Paul R. Hinshaw; her parents, Henry Swaney and Sarah Garren Swaney; and her siblings, Doc Swaney, Charles Swaney, Arthur Swaney, Ted Swaney, Jack Swaney and Frances Swaney.

She is survived by: her sons, Randall R. Hinshaw (Connie) of Weaverville, NC and Ken P. Hinshaw (Debbie) of Denton; and her siblings, Bobbie Tysinger (Kenneth), Dorris Gordon (Jaffie) and Donald Swaney (Bonnie).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Road Retirement Community: Memory Care, 1302 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
