With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Wesley McMasters of Asheboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 25, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Shelby Jones McMasters; his parents, Fletcher McMasters and Ila Routh McMasters; and his siblings, Opal Bullard, Ruth McMasters, Betty Lou Lawrence, Ray McMasters, Cicero McMasters and Glenn McMasters.
He is survived by: his children, Donna M. Toomes (Jay) of Randleman, Franklin Lee McMasters (Karen) of Supply and Steven McMasters of Asheboro; his grandchildren, Sara T. Auman (Thomas), Kaitlyn Bacon (Andrew), Amanda Wheatley (Britt), Kristine McMasters (Niko), Amy McMasters and Nicholas McMasters; and his stepchildren, Debbie Pickens (Don), Rodney Higgins of Asheboro and Randy Higgins (Arlene) of Charlotte. He is also survived by 5 step-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
