He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Caviness and Emma Vickory Caviness; and his sister Faye Dean Smith. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis B. Caviness; his daughter Natalie Caviness; and his siblings, Sylvia C. Langley (Jimmy) and Paul R. Caviness (Betty).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridge Funeral Home & Cremation Service (908 Albemarle Rd, Asheboro, NC 27203). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
