She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Melvin and Nancy Emily Peele Pierce; her husband David "D. R." Tesh, Jr.; her son Gary Tesh; and her siblings, Raeford Pierce, Jack Pierce and Allene Yow.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Tesh Norton (Ralph) of Asheboro, Ronald Tesh (Lynn) of Asheboro and David Tesh (Karen) of Kernersville; her sister Ina Mae Hill of Thomasville; and her grandchildren, David Tesh, Sam Tesh, Jennifer Richardson, Amanda Cromartie, Amber Johnson, Jamie Johnston, Stephanie Norton, Courtney Wilson, Neil Tesh, Carlee Tesh, Pierce Tesh, MaryFrances Tesh, Mitchell Tesh, Jacob Tesh, Gabe Tesh and Miriam Tesh. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
