She was predeceased by: her parents, Worth Layton and Nellie Mae Manuel Layton; her husband John Cooper; her brother Worth Layton; and her grandsons, John Harrington, Jr. and Travis Singleton.
She is survived by: her children, Iris Joyce (Chris) of Ramseur, John Harrington of Asheboro and Dennis Harrington (Kay) of Lewisburg, TN; and her grandchildren, Scotty Harrington, Christy Nunes, Tabbetha Baer (Sam), Rhonda Wall and Brandon Harrington (Jordana). She is also survived by ten great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
